I've been walking past a particular phonebooth on my way home for a while now and I love the way it glows in the dimly lit city at night. I just recently got a nice little Panasonic Lumix GX1 and have been dragging it around with me wherever I go. Last night I walked by the phonebooth and decided to take a couple shots and had a lot of fun doing it.
So I've decided I'm going to start a PhoneBooth series. I'm doing this for a couple reasons. First off, I think the light from the phonebooths is really beautiful at night, but there is something else... I also find phonebooths fascinating. They are relics of an wired age that stand throughout the city, nearly unused, collecting trash and insects. In the wireless digital age, these things have become interesting curiosities that I would love to photograph. So I will!
